Warranty & Returns

Standard Warranty:

All of our trees and shrubs come with a 30-day warranty from the date of delivery. This means that if your tree/shrub is damaged in shipment or if it dies within 30 days of your delivery, we will gladly offer a replacement or credit. Should you receive your tree/shrub during dormancy, and it does not emerge from dormancy by June 1st - the same replacement policy applies.

1 Year Extended Warranty Option:

For added peace of mind, we offer a 1 year extended warranty option. You can choose to purchase an extended warranty for 12% of your cart total at the time of purchase. This extended warranty covers your trees and shrubs for 1 year from the date of delivery. If your tree/shrub dies within the extended warranty period, we will provide you with a replacement plant or issue store credit for the amount of your original purchase. Shipping fees are not included.

  • We may request additional photos or other information to assess the problem.
FAQ

How are heights measured?

Tree and Shrub heights are measured from the top of the root ball or soil, measuring only the above ground portion of your tree or shrub.

Description

Elevate your garden with the enchanting beauty of the Clarence German Bearded Iris. This exquisite perennial boasts striking violet-blue blooms with velvety falls and vibrant, golden beards. As a hardy and resilient iris variety, the Clarence is perfect for gardeners seeking both elegance and low-maintenance charm.

Growing Zones: The Clarence German Bearded Iris thrives in USDA hardiness zones 4-9, making it suitable for a wide range of climates. Whether you're located in cooler northern regions or warmer southern areas, this iris adapts seamlessly to diverse environments.

Basic Care Tips: Achieving a flourishing display of Clarence German Bearded Irises is a rewarding experience with a few simple care guidelines:

  1. Planting: Choose a well-draining location with full sunlight exposure for optimal growth. Plant the rhizomes just beneath the soil surface, ensuring good air circulation to prevent rot.

  2. Watering: Irises prefer consistently moist soil, especially during the growing season in spring. However, avoid waterlogged conditions as they can lead to root diseases. Once established, irises are relatively drought-tolerant.

  3. Fertilization: Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. A low-nitrogen fertilizer, such as a 6-10-10 blend, promotes robust blooming without encouraging excessive foliage.

  4. Dividing: Every 3-4 years, divide overcrowded iris clumps after blooming to rejuvenate the plants and encourage better flowering. This is best done in late summer.

  5. Pest and Disease Control: Keep an eye out for iris borers and promptly remove any affected foliage. Maintain good garden hygiene to prevent fungal diseases. Organic insecticides and fungicides can be used if necessary.

  6. Winter Care: In colder climates, mulch around the iris plants in late fall to protect them from winter freezes. Remove the mulch in spring to allow for new growth.
