Description

The ARP Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis 'ARP') is a must-have herb for any garden enthusiast, culinary connoisseur, or herbal remedy aficionado. This resilient and flavorful herb is a versatile addition to your outdoor or indoor garden. With its delightful aroma and a myriad of culinary uses, the ARP Rosemary is a garden gem.

Growing Zones: The ARP Rosemary is exceptionally adaptable to a wide range of climates. It thrives in USDA hardiness zones 7-10, making it suitable for most regions in the United States. Whether you're a novice or experienced gardener, you can successfully cultivate this fragrant herb in your garden.

Basic Care Tips:

  1. Location: Plant your ARP Rosemary in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. It loves full sun and will reward you with robust growth when given at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day.

  2. Soil: Rosemary prefers soil that is slightly acidic to neutral. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot. Consider adding organic matter to improve soil structure.

  3. Watering: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Overly soggy soil can lead to root problems. Water sparingly, approximately once every 7-10 days, or when the top inch of soil is dry.

  4. Pruning: Regular pruning helps maintain the shape and size of your ARP Rosemary plant. Trim the branches to encourage bushier growth and prevent it from becoming leggy.

  5. Fertilization: Feed your ARP Rosemary with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). Follow the package instructions for proper application.

  6. Pest and Disease Control: Rosemary is relatively resistant to pests and diseases. However, keep an eye out for common issues such as spider mites or aphids and address them promptly with natural remedies or insecticidal soap.

  7. Harvesting: You can start harvesting the aromatic leaves once your ARP Rosemary reaches about 6-8 inches in height. Simply snip off sprigs as needed, but avoid removing more than one-third of the plant at once to ensure healthy growth.
